Make a piece of legislation relevant/irrelevant

Estimated reading: 1 minute

Your relevant legislation is determined by your register setup. You can untick to make legislation irrelevant within the setup, but also have the option within a piece itself.

TIP: Reading the Summary and Duties can help you determine whether to keep a piece in your register, if you were unsure during the setup.

1. Your relevant legislation will display when you expand each chapter in your legal register.

2. Click to open a piece of legislation.

3. The toggle in the top right will display as Relevant. If you wish to remove a piece from your register, click the toggle to change it to Irrelevant.

4. The legislation will move into the grey Irrelevant Legislation section. There is one beneath each chapter. Monthly updates will not be received for irrelevant legislation.

5. You can click into an irrelevant piece of legislation and change the toggle to Relevant at any time. This will add it to your legal register and include it within your monthly updates.

6. The Additional Legislation section below each chapter lists legislation that is very specific to a particular industry or activity. If you would like to add an additional piece to your register, change the toggle to Relevant.
